Primary 1 have settled in beautifully to life in Our Lady and St. Anne's. They are enthusiastic learners, kind to one another and love all that school has to offer.

Primary 1 have been working on Numbers to 10 and Addition to 10 in Numeracy this term. They have had lots of fun, playing Bingo, Daily 10 Challenges, Active Learning Activities and lots of interactive games on our class i-Pads. The children have been working with2-D shapes and have had a great time creating pictures using the shapes.

Next term, we will will be moving on to Subtraction within 10 and also Money.
The children are  enjoying learning their new phonemes each week. They have been very enthusiastic learning the songs and listening to the stories that go along with the phonemes. They are also learning to say the numbers 1-10, classroom objects and greetings in Spanish.The children are  sounding very authentic!

Our topic this term has been People Who Help Us. The children were so excited with their visits from the Paramedic and her ambulance.There was also a very special visit from the Fire Fighters with their engine! They had great fun in the engine and had even more fun shooting water from the hose!
