This term P7 have been continuing to learn about and share our knowledge of The Rights of a Child. Each week they have focused on a particular Article and invited some of the younger pupils to the class to learn about this Article through a variety of activities and games. This might be making a poster, having a ‘blether’, creating a display or learning a song.
They have also given our fellow pupils the Right to have a voice. They set up House Surgeries in the Hall and invited each House to give every child the chance to have a say in what matters to them at school. They can offer suggestions on how to improve the school, voice any worries or problems that they have or share a positive experience.
They have enjoyed Leading this group and like the responsibility of sharing our knowledge with the younger pupils in the school. The next step as Leaders is to be more involved in the planning of each activity. They will decide what we think is a good approach for each Primary Stage and create interesting lessons and activities for them to enjoy.
